the sound quality is awsome. I bought this center channel speaker a few months ago and i have no regrets, all i can say is it rocks.
This Bic is clearer and much more defined than the Mission - at 1/3 the price - 9 years later. Was so impressed that I ordered two of the matching floor towers - to replace the Pinnacle towers bought at the same time as the Mission.btw - all speakers are being driven by a year old Onkyo THX 805 receiver at 120 watts per channel.Would encourage anyone to buy this center channel - you will not be disappointed-eh. Yo-Have had this center channel for just over a week - and I have got to say that it is one of the best additions to my home entertainment system in years. This guy replaced a Mission center that I got in 2000 and thought was the end all and be all of speakers - well folks - I was wrong.
I had to build a shelf to hold mine above my T.V. I really love this speaker.Pros: Great sound at both high and low volumes, strong bass output for a center speaker, cheap price.Cons: Size. This baby is as big as a large bookshelf speaker or small office wastebasket. Just like the title says. but other than it's size this center speaker has no weaknesses for it's price range in my book. It will easily clear up the dialogue on any movie or tv show. This is a great speaker at a very affordable price. Adds a good thump to music and movies as well.
I highly recommend the Bic speaker. The range of the speaker is amazing for the size. Bic has produced a speaker with quality sound. At last all the conversations that were hard to understand are crystal clear.
I use a Marantz SR7200 Receiver and a Samsung Blu-Ray to decode Dolby-HD and DTS-HD. At high volumes this sucker pumps out the sound on everything from Lord of the Rings to Across the Universe.
BTW, I've read about the crossover modifications that some people are doing. For 100 bones, you can't go wrong.
I bought a couple of BIC Ameica tower speakers for my fronts in the early 1990s and they have reliably sounded great for the past 15 years or so. I can actually hear dialog clearly at low volumes.
Maybe my ear is not that sophisticated but I don't see the need. I wanted to upgrade my center channel and was pleased to see the great reviews the DV-62CLRS was getting.
The sound is amazing.
